Year 2010


In April we had two Golden Jubilee Celebrations: Fr. Peter McGinley and Fr. John Fraser presided over their Jubilee Masses joined by friends and family members and a group of the Ugandan community from London.

Year 2009


In December Fr. Paddy Burns died suddenly in Dublin. This is what Fr. General wrote to celebrate Fr. Paddy's life: "We have lost a great missionary who has taught us with his life what goodness, the love for the poorest and for the mission is. We have lost a Comboni who has lived our charism to the full and has left us a very beautiful memory, the memory of a missionary who has lived his vocation with great joy…"

In June Golden anniversary mass for Fr. Anthony celebrated at the Open Day and Mission Draw.

Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Open Day and Mission Draw celebrated in our parish of Carmyle.

Year 2005


Pan-European meeting of Justice and Peace among the Comboni Provinces in Ellwangen - Germany. Pan-European meeting of the Comboni Lay Missionaries in Ellwangen - Germany. Launching of the year of the Eucharist.

Year 2004


The Website "comboniyouth.org.uk" is launched. The Thanksgiving Masses for the Canonisation of ST. Daniel Comboni Continue to take place. In Youth and Vocation Ministry we keep visiting Secondary Schools with the Comboni Students of Elstree Jamil Araya (Eritrea) and Nolie Jovilla (Philippines).

Year 2003


The past year 2003 has offered us the joy of the canonisation of our founder, St. Daniel Comboni. This year 2004 is offering us the opportunity of celebrating this event in our daily life with deep gratitude to God. A further celebration will also be the Silver Jubilee of Comboni Presence in Glasgow
